Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actress in Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin who was born in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg began her acting career with The Piano. At age 11 she was one of the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on the 24th of July, 1982. She is a Canadian-born New Zealander actress. In 1993, she received an Academy Award at age 11 as the curious and chatty child that was Holly Hunter who played the main role. When she answered an audition call and was selected for the part, she was cast as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a deaf Scottish pianist who relocates from Scotland to New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. She was only nine, and she had no acting experience. As a teenager she emigrated into the United States. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 as well as a brief appearance in the film as Jane Eyre in the film when she was just a young child. Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the TV adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 movie Amistad. She portrayed teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). In addition, she portrayed the teen groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
