Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director, as well as a talented actress. A beautiful, smart and gifted actress, she's a great model for Asian actors who are aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. Her initial success was enhanced when she appeared in a few popular show. She played the villainous Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame into roles for the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. In the meanwhile, she was playing lead roles in some films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to play characters that were prominent in animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. The small screen role of Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce positive results. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring role, allowed her to reaffirm her as an actress. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order so that she doesn't get stereotyped in an industry which is extremely competitive. As much as she loves her culture, it hasn't limited her in her work as an artist.
